Has anybody wasted tears on loneliness that everyone becomes...?...Marg Alright, well I moved the Pro-gay marriage ring to all three of us because I'm pretty sure that all three of us agree on this one. It just makes me so mad. And the thing is, I'm straight. I really don't have anything to worry about, do I? But I just can't stand how people treat homosexuals like I dunno-- mutants or something. All three of us have had experiance with gay and lesbian people and let me tell you, the only thing different is that they like the same sex. My mother's best friend since kindergarten who is like an aunt to me is a lesbian. Nora has a friend ( who she happened to have liked a while back) who is gay. Julia's brother has tons of gay friends who Juj has met and talked with. They aren't really different than us, are they? But apparently George Bush thinks so. He thinks that they shouldn't have the same marriage rights that we do. Well lemme tell ya, that's just crap. You know, I thought we might be finally over that. The thing that gays are differnt than us. We're embracing them now. We have Tv shows like Will and Grace, Queer Eye for the straight guy, etc. Yet, we cannot let them marry. For everyone who says that it goes against God and the bible, it doesn't. The bible preaches out against man rape . And I thought that God wanted everyone to love each other equally. Don't look on gay people like they're different. Or gross. They're just like you. |
